Every life has a purpose. Sometimes, it is a dreadful duty, imposed on somebody regardless of their will. Sometimes, it is a struggle to preserve the tiniest spark of hope.

Last Order, a living and walking self-destruct button for an army of clones twenty thousand strong, looks like a grade-schooler. She is in fact much younger. She was produced as the last of the clones and given the duty of administrating the brain network of all her older and more powerful sisters. Last Order spent her days locked up in a laboratory, waiting for the day when it would become necessary to 'use' her, and living life through the eyes and ears of those hooked up to her network.

Everything changes when she gains freedom and has to begin a difficult fight for her own safety and the survival of all her sisters. Estranged from the people who created her and near powerless on her own, Last Order wanders the streets of a futuristic metropolis all alone. It is time for her to make some tough choices, to trust those tainted in darkness in order to find the faint light of salvation. Giving up is not an option.

But even in the face of deadly struggle, Last Order does not lose the cheerful character matching her appearance. Her optimism is unbroken. Her smile is forever bright. Her squeaky voice can drive people insane.

She is just a kid inside after all.
